Overview
The z/OS agent resource provides information about a z/OS agent running on a z/OS platform. To run a z/OS task, you need a OpsWise Automation Center z/OS agent installed and running on the target machine.
z/OS Agent Definition
The resource definition provides the information necessary for the scheduler to locate and communicate with the machine where the OpsWise Automation Center agent resides. OpsWise Automation Center creates this record automatically when the agent connects with the core processor.
To view an agent resource, select the type you want to view from the Resources section of the navigation pane. A list displays showing all the registered agents of the type you selected. Shown below is a z/OS agent definition.
You can change any of the following details on the record by entering the change and clicking Update:
- Heartbeat interval
- Log level
- Credentials
See the field descriptions below for details about those fields.
