Dropdown Menus

Dropdown menus appear frequently in the UI. For example, when you are creating a report, a dropdown menu displays a list of tables available for your report. Dropdown menus provide several methods that help you locate the record you are looking for:

  • Use the up/down arrows to scroll through the list.
  • Type a letter to jump to a specific section of the list. For example, type "R" to jump to records beginning with "R". To scroll through the list from there, press the same letter again.

Right-Click Menus

You can access right-click menus from lists and forms. From a list, click on the down arrow or right-click on a column header. From a form, click on the down arrow or right-click on the title bar. If the right-click produces the usual browser menu (back, forward, reload and so on), reposition the cursor and try again.

The contents of the menu may vary, depending on the application, the list or form, and your user permissions. Shown below is a sample right-click menu.
