Forecasts
For enabled Time, Temporary and Cron triggers where forecasting has been specified, OpsWise Automation Center writes an entry to the Forecasts list for each instance that is scheduled to run within the next N days. The number of days displayed in the forecast (N) is specified using an Opswise system property called Forecast Period in Days. Follow these steps to set up your forecasting display:
- To specify the number of days you want covered in the Forecasts list:
- Select Configuration > Properties. You need administrative privileges to access this function.
- Open the property called Forecast Period In Days.
- The default number of days is 31. This means that the forecast list will display task instances that are scheduled within the next 31 days. Enter the number of days you want displayed in the Forecasts list and click Update to save.
- In the trigger, enable the Forecast field. Forecasting is supported in the following trigger types: Time, Temporary, and Cron.
- To view Forecasts, select Triggers > Forecasts. OpsWise Automation Center displays each task instance that is forecast to be run in the next N days, where N is the forecast period you specified. For example, if a task will run ten times in the specified period, an entry displays for each of the ten task instances.
Shown below is a sample Forecast for the next 31 days.
Next Scheduled Time
For enabled Time, Temporary and Cron triggers, OpsWise Automation Center calculates the next scheduled time and displays it on the Trigger list, as shown in the example below.
The next scheduled time also displays within the trigger record, as shown:
List Qualifying Times
For Time, Temporary and Cron triggers, you can display a list of the next 20 dates and times when the trigger will be satisfied, by clicking the List Qualifying Times button from the trigger record. OpsWise Automation Center displays the list in a new browser tab. Note that this display differs from the Forecast list, which shows scheduled task instances as opposed to qualifying times. The following example shows the next 20 dates and times when a Cron trigger will be satisfied.
